Teen Orthodontics

The best time for orthodontic treatment to correct most cosmetic and functional problems is during the high school years.  For decades, we have known that the most effective and efficient orthodontic results are achieved during the rapid growth in adolescence. Our specialist orthodontist may recommend treatment with braces only, or they may recommend a combination of braces with other fixed or removable appliances (plates).

Nowadays aesthetics may be just as important to some teenagers as they are to adults.  If the metal braces with their fun colour rings are not appealing, clear braces, clear aligners like Invisalign, or invisible lingual braces are available to even our patients who are in high school.
